EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – In its first trip to New England in over a year, the U.S. men's national team drew Peru, 1-1, at Rentschler Field on Tuesday night before a crowd of 24,959 fans.

After entering halftime scoreless, Josh Sargent found a breakthrough for the U.S. in the 49th minute, only for Peru's Edison Flores to equalize in the 86th minute.

The U.S. entered Tuesday night on the tail end of a 4-2 defeat to Colombia, as part of the continued Kickoff Series. Meanwhile, Peru recently beat Chile, 3-0, thanks to a brace from Pedro Aquino, a midfielder playing for Mexican club León.
