The Division 1 men's landscape in New England isn't as talent-rich as other parts of the country, but there's certainly not an absence of quality. In fact, a handful could hear their name called at the 2019 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, held this January in Chicago, Ill.
To sort through the masses, New England Soccer Journal has assembled the region's top 50 players.
Twenty-two of the 50 are from another country, while 14 are true locals. In terms of programs represented, Providence and UConn both landed five players; Boston College and Vermont have four; and Dartmouth, New Hampshire, Quinnipiac, Rhode Island, UMass Amherst and UMass Lowell all have three. Meanwhile, Boston University, Brown, Harvard, Northeastern and Yale each have two players.
