We’ve known for nearly three weeks that the 2020 Independent School League season, on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, won’t occur.
Schools maintain hope around playing scrimmages at some point, but that’s no guarantee as students return to campus and classroom visions in a coronavirus-altered world turn into reality.
Even without the ISL season, we’re still prospecting what could have been. Most notably, Buckingham Browne & Nichols and Rivers were both defending NEPSAC championships, while Thayer Academy won its first-ever ISL title in 2019.
