The 2019-20 Gatorade State Players of the Year for girls soccer were announced Wednesday, and plenty of familiar faces received the distinguished honor across New England.
Two players repeated, and five of them earned All-American honors from United Soccer Coaches this past fall. Two players will play at UMass, and all are bound for Division I programs.
The awards, handed out annually, recognize not only athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character that’s demonstrated on and off the field.
Here’s a state-by-state look at who earned the awards.
