Gustavo Bou’s year-plus with the New England Revolution has included some memorable strikes, starting with his first match upon signing a Designated Player deal from Club Tijuana.
That goal, which came during a July 2019 game against the Vancouver Whitecaps, was a one-time volley atop the 18-yard box that he picked out of midair following a corner kick. There's also his late game-winner against the Chicago Fire in August 2019, a left-footed rocket from a similar range, or even his long-range chip in September 2019 against New York City FC that sent the Revolution to their first MLS Cup Playoffs appearance in four seasons.
Suffice it to say that the 30-year-old Argentine has a penchant for big-time moments, so Friday night’s latest jolt shouldn’t come as a surprise.
