During a normal college soccer season, Division I men’s teams start competing by Aug. 20 or thereabouts. There’s some flexibility around that date, but it provides a rough stake in the ground.

The 2020-21 school year has made the D-I men’s season anything but normal, with zero New England-based teams competing during the Fall ‘20 semester. That's right: All 22 local programs were sidelined on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But everyone, with the exception of New England’s four Ivy League programs, is planning to compete again during the Spring ‘21 semester. Some are doing conference-only games, while others have a mix of the two – all building toward the NCAA tournament selection on April 18.

With that background, here’s the rundown of when New England’s D-I men’s teams are scheduled to compete again in the coming weeks. The COVID-19 pandemic could prompt schedule adjustments, of course. Updates and changes can be emailed to jsigal@nesoccerjournal.com.
