The Centennial Conference and Liberty League announced plans for an adjusted 2020 season on Tuesday, continuing a wave of Division III modifications due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While those conferences are centered around Pennsylvania and New York, respectively, they’re home to dozens of players from New England. Just like teams in the region’s six states, they’re holding out hope that some soccer awaits in 2020.
The Centennial Conference has suspended inter-collegiate competition at least through September, when presidents will decide if a limited soccer season could occur. Meanwhile, the Liberty League is planning for a conference-heavy schedule that could include a limited number of non-league opportunities.
