Recruiting: Why Oakwood’s Nadia Zaffanella decided on a Lafayette future

Nadia Zaffanella (Ellington, Conn.) was looking for two things when it came down to choosing her college future.

She wanted to play Division 1 soccer, and she wanted it to be at a high-academic school.

Next year that mission will be accomplished.

Zaffanella, a Class of 2023 forward/midfielder for Oakwood Soccer Club, has committed to Lafayette College, which competes in the Patriot League. She is the latest Oakwood Class of 2023 player to commit, joining Juliana Garcia (Northeastern), Diana Jedrychowski (UMass Lowell) and Mary Kate Sullivan (Indiana).
