Fairfield continues to land Class of 2022 talent from the region, with the MAAC program getting a verbal commitment from South Shore Select forward Samantha Kersey (Mashpee, Mass.) last week.
Kersey, 16, joins Worcester Academy and FC Stars center back Kelsie Wandyes (Sutton, Mass.), who committed to the Stags back in late August.
Kersey, who used to play for FCUSA before switching to the Girls Academy League U-17 age group this year, succinctly summed up why the Division I program made sense for her.
