One year sooner than expected, Millbrook midfielder/forward Shakur Mohammed is going to a top-end Division I program.

Mohammed has reclassified into the Class of 2021 and verbally committed to Duke, where he’ll play alongside South Kent forward Jai Bean.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate, who joined the NEPSAC ranks in 2018, is taking summer classes to accelerate his high school graduation timeline. The decision was also made with an eye on professional soccer.
