On the surface level, Ousseni Bouda had a strong freshman year at Stanford. After all, he was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and helped the Cardinal reach the NCAA tournament semifinals.
But a player of his caliber – Bouda was named the 2018 Gatorade National Boys Soccer Player Of The Year and as New England Soccer Journal’s Prep Player of the Year after helping Millbrook win the 2018 NEPSAC Class C title – takes issue with his stat line.
Five goals and five assists in 22 games isn't necessarily bad, the forward concedes, but he knows he can do better.
