FC Stars center back Abbey Finn (Dedham, Mass.) is staying local for college soccer after verbally committing to Providence in early June.

The Class of 2022 defender reached her decision just before the ECNL North Carolina event, taking advantage of the recruiting dead period expiring June 1.

Finn traded virtual interactions for an unofficial visit, allowing her to form a better relationship with head coach Sam Lopes and his staff. Even though the Friars are on their summer break, it was still a valuable experience.
