Just as COVID-19 pandemic restrictions loosen nationwide, the Division I college soccer recruiting world has some normalcy within sight.
The NCAA’s in-person recruiting dead period is due to expire June 1, leaving D-I coaches poised to swap Zoom calls, gametape and trusted relationships with face-to-face interactions, showcase/ID events and campus visits.
Some elements of the last 15 months will remain, but coaches and players alike can soon feel more confident in their decisions. They've often been making best-educated guesses that are informed by virtual communication and remote evaluation.
