COLONIE, N.Y. -- Every year, the annual NXT LVL Invitational boys prep showcase features an abundance of quality matchups, featuring teams from New England and beyond.
Perhaps the most anticipated contest at this year’s weekend event, took place on Saturday evening, as the day that officially marked the start of autumn provided gray and drizzly skies and a temperature of 60 degrees, just outside of Albany.
The showdown featured defending NEPSAC Class A champion Worcester Academy and 2021 Class A champion Northfield Mount Hermon. And while two months still remain in the 2023 prep season, this game had the feel of a postseason battle and left reason to believe that these two sides just might see each other again before it’s all said and done this fall.
