Rockland (Mass.) High School senior striker Joao Faria is like most high school seniors.
Faria enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing lots of EA Sports' FIFA. That said, most high school seniors are not record-setting potential All-Americans on the soccer pitch.
Now in his senior year, Faria, a captain for the Bulldogs, is looking to lead Rockland back to the MIAA playoffs after a disappointing Sweet 16 exit in 2022. And ambition is certainly not lacking in Faria, whose "all-gas, no-breaks" attitude on the field is always evident.
