Virginia has returned to the College Cup for the first time since 2014, an experience that redshirt freshman forward/defender Kira Maguire (Hingham, Mass.) is cherishing every moment of.

Maguire and the Cavaliers (14-4-2) await a national semifinal on Thursday evening in Cary, North Carolina against No. 1 overall seed Florida State, a fellow ACC program.

The Seminoles (13-0-1) won the Division I title as recently as 2018 and roster former Boston College midfielder/defender Gianna Mitchell (Springfield, Mass.), creating a New England-centric angle for the much-anticipated matchup.
