Soccer often is considered the most popular sport in the world. For that reason, soccer is Dominick DaCruz’s favorite sport.

“The passion for soccer comes from a place of connection,” said DaCruz, who was introduced to the game through his stepdad, who is from Brazil. “I’ve always felt like soccer is something that can connect people across the globe. It’s a universal sport. To connect with people made it a beautiful game.”

DaCruz (White River Junction, Vt.) even has used the sport to build his own links around the world thanks to his GPS New Hampshire NPL 2000 team, which he joined in eighth grade.
