Payton Linnehan looks for dream ending at FC Stars

Payton Linnehan wasn’t always aware of the talent she possessed.

It is surprising simply because she is so highly decorated as a player. Even though she has played a part in the U.S. youth national team player pool since her first call-up to the U15 squad, the swift attacker from Douglas, Mass., simply was just playing a game she enjoyed until she joined up with the FC Stars at U13 and started realizing her potential.

FC Stars director of coaching Jason Dewhurst saw glimpses of what could be even earlier.
