It’s no secret that when it comes to Division 3 women’s soccer, New England is arguably the most talent-rich region in the country.
That sentiment was further evidenced on Tuesday.
United Soccer Coaches released the association’s preseason college top 25 rankings for women’s soccer in all NCAA divisions. While no teams from the region cracked the Division 1 or Division 2 preseason top 25, the D3 poll was loaded with New England squads.
Five programs from this area were included, led by Wesleyan, which advanced all the way to the Division 3 Final Four last December.
