With two older brothers and a twin sister, Liam Devanny (Concord, N.H.) often ended up as the designated goalkeeper during his childhood.
The youngest brother taking shooting practice? It doesn’t necessarily work like that, and perhaps for the better.
"It was an advantage, honestly, because playing with my brothers on the side yard, it made me work harder and have more incentive to do better," Devanny said. "As you went down the siblings, there’s more people to impress and that instills more drive. That’s honestly why I turned into a goalie, probably."
And not just any goalkeeper, mind you.
