Sean Gannon (Coventry, Conn.) finished his bachelor’s degree in finance at Central Connecticut State University last May. He is working toward his MBA while completing an internship at Chubb, the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company, which has led to a full-time job offer.
Gannon has checked off virtually every item on his college to-do list, with one exception: play one more men’s soccer season for the Blue Devils.
Due to a season-ending ankle injury one game into the 2018 season and the lost COVID-19 campaign in 2020, Gannon gets an extended final chance to help steer CCSU back to respectability in the Northeast Conference.
Gannon’s swan song will be leading a CCSU squad composed primarily of sophomores, who will lean on his positional versatility. Gannon can play anywhere across the midfield, as an inverted winger and even as a false nine. He is also composed in possession, and vital to the Blue Devils’ connective tissue.
