The last winning season for the Holy Cross men’s soccer team was back in 2007.
But there’s a very strong chance that drought will come to an end this fall.
The Crusaders, one of the best stories in New England Division 1 soccer, have turned things around in a major way in the 2021 season. Not only are they 8-4-2 overall, they also sit in first place in the Patriot League with a 5-1 mark.
Head coach Marco Koolman, in his 10th season at HC, says the turnaround is a product of the work and dedication put in last year, when the COVID-19 pandemic created difficulties and obstacles for programs throughout the country.
