Achara matures at Berkshire as D1 college soccer future nears

When Ugochukwu Achara arrived at Berkshire from The Fessenden School for his sophomore year, high expectations followed suit.

After all, his older brother, Ifunanyachi Achara, now a starting striker at Georgetown, helped the Bears to several Class A titles.

Save for some early adjustments under then-head coach Tony Mohammed, the younger Achara has proven integral to Berkshire, perennially one of the nation's top prep programs. A captain and starting striker himself, there's a twist, according to head coach Charlie Bour.
