National Women’s Soccer League teams began preseason Feb. 1, and all but three of its 10 clubs have players with New England ties. The Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns and Kansas City are the only exceptions.
As teams lay the groundwork for the 2021 campaign, we’ve compiled all players whose soccer paths went through the region. To merit inclusion, players are either from New England or played college soccer here.
The NWSL’s ninth season gets underway with the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup on April 9. After that, the NWSL will have a 24-game regular season that starts May 15.
