Whenever Tufts competes again, the back-to-back Division III national champions will have most of its current senior class available for selection.
With the exception of goalkeeper Will Harned (Darien, Conn.), the core remains intact for new head coach Kyle Dezotell’s early days in charge of the Jumbos. The list includes center back Biagio Paoletta (Fairfield, Conn.), defensive midfielder Calvin Aroh (Glastonbury, Conn.) and box-to-box midfielder Travis Van Brewer (Wilbraham, Mass.), three starters from their 2019 team that went 20-2-2.
Amherst, another NESCAC powerhouse, finds itself in a similar position, and Van Brewer knows how magnetic the draw of one final test is.
