Professional soccer in New Hampshire could soon become a reality.
That’s at least Jeremy Zelanes' goal as he looks to bring a USL League One franchise to the Granite State in 2022, pending league approval.
The club, called New Hampshire FC, would coincide with a similar project that’s taking shape in Portland, Maine. That’d create a northern New England rivalry of sorts, and Zelanes feels the state’s primed for a third-division club of its own.
