The green light for club soccer’s return in Massachusetts is here – sort of.
Gov. Charlie Baker unveiled Monday a four-stage plan to reopen the commonwealth, all as restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic ease and gatherings still adhere to social-distancing with 10 people or fewer.
Youth sports could return in a “limited fashion” during phase two (no earlier than June 8), and games and tournaments with limited crowds are part of phase three (no earlier than June 29). Each phase must last for at least three weeks, though goalposts could shift as the public-health crisis evolves.
