Joshua Bolma did not know much about the New England climate or the New England Revolution when he arrived at South Kent School in 2017.
But Bolma’s experience playing for the Cardinals and Black Rock FC helped prepare him for the next step in his soccer career, which will begin with preseason next month as a member of the Revolution.
Bolma, a midfielder who played the last two seasons at the University of Maryland, was selected No. 4 in the MLS SuperDraft Wednesday night by the Revolution. The Revolution traded allocation money to the San Jose Earthquakes to move up from the 10th slot, then took central defenders Victor Souza (Boston College) and Andreas Ueland (Virginia) in the next two rounds.
