Later this month, six men’s college soccer teams will battle for state supremacy in the inaugural Connecticut Spring College Cup.
The teams competing will be Division 1 Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut State University, and D2 squads Southern Connecticut State, New Haven and Post. Each program will play one game per week for four straight weeks, beginning on March 26. There will then be a championship match played between the top two teams in the standings, while the third place team will play the fourth place team, and the fifth place team will play the sixth place team to close out the schedule.
It’ll be an exciting event for not only the players, coaches and universities, but also for New England college soccer fans.
