Volunteer Coach: How keys to tournament opened new doors for us

In last month’s column, I focused on four key ingredients that a team would need in order to make a deep run in the MIAA high school tournament.

Fresh off the Pembroke (Mass.) High School boys’ four-game run to the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional final, I now can review my own thoughts and contrast them with the last couple weeks of tournament action.

As a reminder, the four topics that I covered were momentum, bench contributions, luck and set pieces.
