Revolution II remain winless through their first three games (0-1-2 record) of their inaugural season, though this past Saturday's 3-3 draw at North Texas SC reflected the USL League One club's main purpose.
Homegrown midfielder Nicolas Firmino (Somerville, Mass.) opened the scoring, then Homegrown midfielder Isaac Angking (Providence, R.I.) tallied the second and third goals to earn a result on the road. Firmino's required a left-footed volley after a goalkeeper turnover, while Angking's go-ahead strike was a beautiful curler to the top corner that evaded Luis Zamudio's outstretched arm.
Firmino signed a first-team deal ahead of the 2019 season, while Angking's contract was inked before the 2018 campaign. They've played a combined 37 minutes in MLS, all attributable to the latter back when Brad Friedel was head coach of the Revolution.
