Top 5: Who are the NEPSAC’s best defensive teams?

It might be a tired phrase, but it often rings true: defense wins championships.

Yes, for a team to achieve its maximum potential, they need to score goals and create offensive chances as well. But it definitely never hurts to have a sturdy and reliable back line.

With two weeks left in the New England boys prep regular season, we now have a strong feel for which programs can most rely on their defense.

Here are five impressive units as we prepare to head into November.
