After opening day on Wednesday, the first weekend of the 2018 NEPSAC boys soccer season is here.

Some teams are left licking their wounds, while others are trying to keep the good times rolling following convincing wins. As another matchday nears, which contests are worth paying special attention to?

To answer that, New England Soccer Journal has highlighted five games, all featuring Top 15 teams from our preseason coaches poll. Each group earned strong reputations based on incoming recruiting classes and past successes, but now it's time to prove it.

Further, this weekend is particularly important, since top NEPSAC teams are a week away from the Northeast Soccer Jamboree, held two Sundays from now at Loomis Chaffee. The event, in Windsor, Conn., welcomes dozens of top Division 1 and Division 3 college coaches from the region and beyond.

The below five games serve as fantastic preparation for what's to come.
