The 2020 high school season is in the books, after teams across New England returned to action following months of uncertainty.
The COVID-19 pandemic ensured things weren’t the same – state champions weren’t crowned in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts, while they were in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont – but teams again competed. That’s a victory, by all measures, considering the alternative.
With seasons over, we’re taking stock of top teams across the region. The below 20 teams, spanning New England’s six states, proved they’re a level above the rest.
