The New England Revolution began their 2021 preseason slate Saturday night with a 1-0 loss against the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Head coach/sporting director Bruce Arena called on 22 different players and several of the Revolution’s brightest talents were away on international duty or didn’t dress, two areas that reinforce how MLS preseason results don’t mean a whole ton.
While New England couldn’t score, they created plenty of chances and had an apparent first-half equalizer called back for being offside. That precision tends to come with more minutes, so there’s little reason for worry at this stage.
