The Vermont Catamounts are set to add a recruit from the Kennebunk, Maine area in back-to-back seasons, after Seacoast United U-17 midfielder Connor Thompson recently committed to the America East program.
Thompson, a Class of 2021 recruit, will follow former Seacoast Class of 2020 defender Maxwell Murray, who now plays for GPS Massachusetts Elite Red 02 Boys.
“It’s crazy how it turned out where we’re from the same town, and now we’re both going to UVM,” Thompson, 16, said of Murray. “I think he’s a really good player and I’m excited to play with him.”
