Talk about a short offseason.
Believe it or not, the New England Revolution will report to their training center on Monday and begin preseason training for the 2022 campaign. Most notably, the Revs need to get ready for the upcoming 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, which will begin in mid-February.
New England earned a spot in the prestigious tournament by capturing the MLS Supporters’ Shield by tallying the most regular season points in the league for the 2021 season. The Revs last took the field on Nov. 30, when they fell to eventual MLS Cup champion NYCFC in a penalty kick shootout in an Eastern Conference semifinal at Gillette Stadium.
The time for recovery and relaxation has just about come to an end for the Revolution and business is about to pick up.
