Last weekend, the Revolution Academy U-15 and U-17 teams wrapped up play at the Generation adidas Cup at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
In its 15th year, the premier international youth tournament featured representation from every MLS academy and 49 different club academies from a record-breaking 15 countries, spanning four different continents. A total of 80 teams, 40 in each age group (U-17 and U-15), competed in the event that ran from March 30-April 7.
The Philadelphia Union took home the championship in the U-17 age group, while Valencia CF(Spain) earned the U-15 age group title.
MLS academies have won six of the past eight titles at the Generation adidas Cup, dating back to the 2019 tournament. The victory by the Philadelphia Union in the U-17 age group marked the second consecutive Generation adidas Cup title for the club.
