What to know about New England’s Division II newcomers

Last year's NCAA tournament at the Division II level included memorable runs by Assumption, Franklin Pierce and Post, reinforcing the region's strength on a national level.

That statement goes a step further when put into historical context, with Southern Connecticut State home to a nation-leading six D-II titles. Southern New Hampshire also owns a pair, with the Northeast-10 among the country's top D-II conferences.

As teams gear up for an adjust 2020 season during the COVID-19 pandemic, here's how incoming classes are shaping up. As is typical, they've attracted local standouts and international student-athletes.
