Growing up in the shadows of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., Ben Kelly felt a long-standing connection to the renowned Ivy League school.
He frequently attended soccer games, Harvard vs. Yale football games, and visited the picturesque campus.
That’s why it comes as no surprise that Kelly, a Class of 2023 forward, who this past spring graduated from Roxbury Latin, has committed to play at Harvard next year.
"I felt like Harvard was something that I couldn’t pass up," said Kelly. "Academically, in my opinion, it’s the best school in the world. I’m really excited about the project that (head) coach (Josh) Shapiro is putting together. When I go into my freshman year, it’ll be the first time when the roster is fully composed with recruits from coach Shapiro. I’m really looking forward to the program’s future."
