The Spring 2021 Colgate men’s soccer team included five players from New England, making it one of the most common Division I destinations for those competing beyond the region.
That trend’s certainly not slowing down in the Class of 2022, with NEFC U-19 ECNL goalkeeper Eric Widrick (Arlington, Mass.) verbally committing to the Patriot League program earlier this week.
He joins Rivers School and Boston Bolts ECNL center back Cal Lemley (Wellesley, Mass.) in heading to the Raiders, ensuring at least two locals go there two falls from now.
