Recruiting: Latest commitments, upcoming events to watch for

A center midfielder from one of New England’s top prep school programs has a college soccer home, as Taft standout James Donaldson has committed to Trinity.

The Quebec native can play in a variety of roles, and marks the second such commitment to the NESCAC program in as many years. Former Worcester Academy standout James Michielli (Medway, Mass.) committed to the Bantams around this time a season ago.

Michielli and Donaldson are similar players, insofar as they’re both somewhat underrated in the broader NEPSAC soccer space. Each offers some bite defensively, ability in transition and scorer’s touch in the final third.
