It’s been an eventful fall for Michael Hofstetter (East Greenwich, R.I.).

The senior striker/midfielder at La Salle Academy (Providence, R.I.) has led his team to a record of 16-1-2 and the No. 1 seed in the Rhode Island (RIIL) Division 1 state tournament.

On top of that, he recently committed to the nearby University of Rhode Island, where he will continue his soccer career at the collegiate Division 1 level.

The 5-foot-8, 150-pound Hofstetter said he was happy to get his decision out of the way.
