One of New England’s top Class of 2023 attackers is staying local for college soccer.
FSA FC and Hall (Conn.) High School forward Lucas Almeida (West Hartford, Conn.) has verbally committed to UConn, putting Division 1 soccer in his future.
The Huskies look to secure top local talent, and head coach Ray Reid and his staff have done that with Almeida. He was named a U-16 ECNL All-American last year and is among the CIAC’s top players.
