When Brad Moccio (Longmeadow, Mass.) was younger, he played club soccer for FC Mass and would train at the UMass athletics fields, wondering what it’d be like to compete for the Minutemen.
The Class of 2021 defender has to marvel no longer, as Moccio verbally committed to the Atlantic 10 program in mid-November.
Moccio, who plays club soccer for NEFC West and just wrapped up his senior season at Longmeadow (Mass.) High School, joins teammate Andrew Ortiz (Longmeadow, Mass.) in heading to UMass. Between the center back and center mid, the Minutemen have two locals coming next year.
