Power Rankings: Providence, Rhode Island surging at right time

At this point in the season, there's little doubt that the University of New Hampshire is the best team in the region. The Wildcats, led by head coach Marc Hubbard (Durham, N.H.) seemed prime for postseason success, whether it comes in the America East tournament or on the national scene.

But what about the rest of the six states we call home?

That's where things get a little less clear, though the likes of Providence College and the University of Rhode Island are hitting their grooves at an opportune time. They're primed to make some noise in the Big East and Atlantic 10, respectively.

As this takes shape, here's a comprehensive look at New England's Division 1 landscape. We've ranked all 22 teams:
