WESTON, Mass. – The two best scoring chances in the first half of Sunday’s NEPSAC Class B championship game belonged to underdog Lawrence Academy.
Top-seeded Pingree still felt good.
One year after losing in this Class B final to Suffield, the Highlanders earned their way back to the season's pinnacle game and finished the job, scoring twice after halftime to close out a 3-0 win against No. 3 Lawrence for the program’s first title since 2016.
“It’s probably one of the best teams we’ve had,” said Pingree coach Dushawne “Doc” Simpson. “We’ve had a lot of great individual players but this year it was a complete team effort.”
