In a pre-pandemic world, Phineas “Finn” Callahan (Norwalk, Conn.) was planning to make his college commitment after the Development Academy Summer Showcase and Playoffs later this June in Oceanside, Calif.
But like most areas of life during the COVID-19 crisis, his plans got thrown for a whirl when U.S. Soccer terminated the DA in mid-April and the weeks without games or training have added up.
Undeterred, the Beachside U-19 attacking midfielder/winger made his mind up last week by giving his verbal commitment to Dartmouth for the Class of 2021.
