Local goalkeeper Patrick Conway, Rochester amid NCAA tournament run

After starting all 17 games as a sophomore, University of Rochester goalkeeper Patrick Conway (Acton, Mass.) largely watched from the sidelines as a junior, appearing in just one blowout win as senior Redd Brown led the team to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division 3 tournament.

Conway didn’t like it. But he understood it.

“The senior on the team was better than me,” Conway said. “He was fantastic.”
