The spring college soccer season got a facelift in 2018 when U.S. Soccer’s College Development Program launched, and then the pool expanded to 13 programs last year to include Boston College, UConn, Providence and others.
The event, played over five weeks, added increased competition to a stretch of the NCAA season that traditionally isn’t as intense.
A similar concept could soon come to Connecticut, as New England Soccer Journal has learned that eight schools from The Constitution State could form a nearly-identical competition.
